The SSP – State Scholarship Portal Scholarship for 2025-26 is scheme of Government of Karnataka that offers financial assistance to students from pre matric from Classes 1st to 10th and through post matric – UG/PG/professional courses levels and separate schemes for SC or ST, OBC, Minority, EWS, PWD For the academic year 2025-26 this scheme covers both Pre-Matric and Post-Matric scholarships which implements direct benefit transfer and uses an online application process for transparency and ease process. Who Can Apply for this scholarship
Given below is in details of eligibility for Pre-Matric and Post-Matric levels under SSP:
For Pre-Matric – Classes 1st to 10th
- Candidate must be permanent Resident of Karnataka.
- Candidate must Belong to eligible categories – SC/ST/OBC/Minority or EWS as per scheme.
- Candidate must be Studying in recognised school or class.
- Family annual income must be within the limit set by SSP.
- Candidate must have Aadhaar linked, bank account in student’s name, e-Attestation, institute of hostel verification.
Post-Matric from Class 11 , UG, PG, Professional
- Candidate must be domicile of Karnataka.
- Candidate should be Belonging to the eligible category (SC/ST/OBC/Minority/PWD) as specified in the scheme.
- Candidate must be Enrolled in recognised college university or professional or PG course.
- Annual family income on candidate must be below the threshold specified by the particular department.
- Applicant must not have been receiving any other scholarship or stipend.
Scholarship Benefits Amount
This scholarship scheme provides various benefits to different categories as follows:
Pre Matric Benefits
- Candidate form SC or ST students will receive rs 1000 for boys and 1100 for girls Per year.
- Candidates form class 9 and 10th will receive rs 3000 for hosteller rs 7000.
- For OBC candidates rs 5000 depending on class or school.
Post Matric Benefits
- Candidate from SC category will receive scholarship of rs 7000 per year and 13500 for hosteller students.
- Candidate form OBC or Backward Classes will receive rs 20000 per year and will cover fee and other allowance.
Step by Step Applying process
Candidates willing to apply for SSP Pre-Matric or Post-Matric Scholarship 2025-26 need to go through following steps to apply online:
- visit official website of SSP at ssp.postmatric.karnataka.gov.in
- Go onto registration section and click on new student registration and entry your details – adhaar number, mobile number and an email id.
- login using id and password.
- Fill form by filling personal details, name, fob and more.
- Fill your academic details including class details, roll number, cource and school or college details correctly.
- Upload required documents which include adhaar card, passbook, income certificate, cast certificate and more.
- Review all details carefully and final submit your application form.
Selection Process
The selection process for this SSP scholarship will consist of multiple stages which are given in details below:
- Ist stage is where Institute of department verifies the details and documents of candidate.
- Second stage will be E-attestation & Aadhaar authentication are done.
- Funds are transferred to the student’s bank account through DBT – Direct Benefit Transfer.
- Students should check status regularly and follow up with the institute of department in case of any verification issues.
