Who Can Apply for PMSS 2025?

Eligibility requirements differ for each PMSS category. Students must review the conditions carefully before submitting their applications.

1. PMSS for Wards and Widows of CAPFs & Assam Rifles

Eligible applicants include:

  • Wards of CAPFs/Assam Rifles personnel martyred in terror or naxal attacks.
  • Students pursuing professional degree courses such as engineering, nursing, medicine, pharmacy, BBA, BCA, agriculture, MBA, MCA, and similar programs.
  • Minimum 60% marks in Class 12, Diploma, or Graduation.

2. PMSS for Wards & Widows of CAPFs/AR (General Category)

Includes:

  • Deceased personnel (killed in action or during service).
  • Personnel disabled due to service-related causes.
  • Serving and retired personnel of CAPFs/AR below officer rank (PBOR).
  • Ex-personnel awarded gallantry awards.
  • Minimum academic score of 60% in the qualifying examination.

3. PMSS for Wards of RPF/RPSF Personnel

Eligible if:

  • The ward or widow belongs to RPF/RPSF personnel who died in the line of duty, particularly during counter-terrorism or criminal encounters.
  • Minimum 60% marks in Class 12/diploma/graduation.
  • A maximum of two children per family can apply.

The application process for PMSS 2025 is entirely online. Offline submissions are not accepted.

NSP Registration Steps

  1. Visit the National Scholarship Portal (NSP).
  2. Click on the Students section.
  3. Select the Login option under One-Time Registration (OTR).
  4. Choose Register and read the guidelines carefully.
  5. Enter your mobile number to receive an OTP.
  6. Submit the OTP and complete verification.
  7. Provide Aadhaar details and follow the OTP authentication.

  9. Note down the temporary registration number and complete face authentication through the OTR mobile app.

  • Applications can be withdrawn anytime before Level-2 verification by the Force Nodal Officer.

Renewal Conditions

To continue receiving the scholarship:

  • Students must score at least 50% every academic year/semester.
  • All subjects must be passed in the first attempt.
